Welcome to Te Puia, the New Zealand Māori Arts and Crafts Institute.

For over 45 years, we have welcomed visitors to our place, to hear our stories, to enjoy our unique culture and to experience first hand the wonders of Māori arts and crafts.

Te Puia is home to the internationally renowned Pohutu geyser, the National carving and weaving schools and the world famous Whakarewarewa guides.
